Counter Diary follows the way a CSC already works: open the day, record as you go, count the drawer at night.

  1. Open the day

    Yesterday's closing becomes today's opening. Cash in hand, each bank and each wallet are already there before the first customer walks in.

Questions owners ask

Is it really free for 6 months?

Yes. Every feature, up to 5 staff, every phone and computer, for 6 months from the day you sign up. We don't ask for a card or any payment details, so nothing can be charged.

What happens after the free period?

Counter Diary costs ₹2.74 a day + GST, billed once a year (₹999 + GST a year). There is only a yearly plan. We remind you inside the app and by email before your free period ends, and you decide whether to continue. If you stop, you can still open and download all your entries.

Is my business data safe?

Your data is encrypted on its way to our servers and while stored. Only you and the staff you allow can see it, and staff see only what you tick for them. We never sell or share it.

Does it really work without internet?

Yes. Every entry is saved on the phone first and shows in your balances at once. When the internet returns, entries upload in the order they were made. A phone can keep working offline for days.

What if two staff record entries at the same time?

Each phone records its own entries, and the server puts them in order. Both phones, and yours, show the same list and balances within seconds.

Can staff see my bank balance or my commission?

Only if you allow it. By default, counter staff see their own entries and the cash and wallet balances. Bank balances, commission, everyone's entries, reports and the daily closing are for the owner unless you tick them for someone.

Does it run on a computer too?

Yes. Counter Diary runs in the browser on any phone or computer and can be installed like an app from Chrome or Safari. The same login works everywhere.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Open Settings on any other device and remove that phone. It is locked within seconds, even if it is still logged in. Your data stays on the server, so you lose nothing.
